The Good Shepherd

When sheep fall down on their backs, they can't get up. This is called a cast sheep. They need a shepherd to help them get back on their feet.

In scripture, Jesus tells us that He is the Good Shepherd. He knows His sheep and His sheep know Him.

I am the good shepherd; My sheep know my voice,

I know my sheep, and I know them,

and am known of my mine. and they follow me:

John 10:14 John 10:27

Do you think when Jesus called Himself the Good Shepherd that He knew there would be times in our lives that we would fall down and couldn't get back up without Him? When I fall, I need help getting back up, and He is always there to give me a hand up! He knows His sheep; He knows we will fall and is always ready to leave the others to help the one.

I'm so thankful for the Good Shepherd to pick me up and set my feet upon a firm foundation!!

I give thanks to the Father, that His hands lift us up when we are not strong, and grateful for His ever-present shoulder to cry on. And how wonderful to know we have His arms to hold us when we can’t find comfort.

Thank you Jesus

Remember,

With Jesus on your side, people who fall the hardest, bounce back the highest. Hallelujah.
